tulane university media arts post-bacc certificate program with an emphasis on tv/film.i am working on creative writing and screenplay development (currently finishing a feature film screenplay).

2002-3 americorps national service member
i recently finished serving as an americorps member in education at catholic charities - archdiocese of new orleans. i am currently developing a community learning garden and peace park for this central city new orleans neighborhood.
having graduated in may 2002, i am taking time off between school to do this americorps program. upon its conclusion i will undertake a master program in teaching and curriculum development.
my overall academic interests are education, international human rights and public policy.
my goal is to do human rights public policy work in an global context while working at home to promote educational equality and justice as a public school teacher in a metropolitan (hopefully inner-city neighborhood).
i plan to work on a master program in early childhood/childhood education while developing innovative content-based media programming to make learning fun and informative.
as for my talent, i have taken pictures for various assignments which are mostly published in yearbooks/student newspapers and once for a dance troupe. as for my photography assignments, they have captured the spirit of events in pictures followed up by words not the converse. photography preserves the past and makes memories by catching a second of life in detail. regardless of talent, i encourage everyone to take photographs and make memories.
with my master’s program, i would like to work on an overall program in early childhood/childhood education with a strong focus on curriculum development and media. furthermore, i believe that hands-on-experience in a school system with master teachers or in a teaching assistants program will afford me be a better learning opportunity within this educational component.
i want formal training in teaching which will allow me to become an exceptional teacher, youth advocate and media specialist. i want to utilize my graduate study to provide me with curriculum assessment and design and the development of innovative educational programming to stimulate critical thinking through delightful learning. i appreciate your consideration and your help with my future teaching career. if you have any comments, you can contact drop me a line:

i also have an extensive hobby interest in photography. i have been taking photographs for nearly seven (7) years. i go through numerous rolls of film each year. my photographs are shots of buildings (cathedrals, tourist places, etc.) to family (people and pets). an amateur to the field, i haven't entered my photographs in any contests.
i have no awards on my back for my cutting-edge photography; however, i have had wonderful acknowledgements from faculty, students and family regarding my photography. many commentators suggest that i pursue photography as a profession (enter shows and competitions); however, i seek no rewards nor publishing for my photographs since my photographs serve as personal momentos of events in my life.photography
